@ Blanche: Bungee jumping is for woosies. I like to get into my wingsuit, jump, and ride the air currents to the bottom.

Funny...I have a fear of bridges, too.  And I lived in Portland, Oregon, which is nothing BUT bridges.  I'm still not walkin' 'em, although I have walked the Golden Gate bridge.  That didn't scare me.

@ Ruth: Walking over the G.G. Bridge was my first step in getting over this fear. My best friend accompanied me 20 years ago. I was holding her hand on one side and holding onto the rail with the other. I couldn't stop shaking until I was halfway across and then I let go of her hand. I've walked it many, many times since. Piece o' cake now.

 

I didn't know that about Portland and bridges. The Bay Area is connected by seven bridges over the bay. You have to cross one to get anywhere.

I don't fear no stink'n bridge.  Watch just one Indian Jones movie and you'll quickly learn that a bridge collapse is SOOOOO easy to survive.  Course theres some rock climbing involved but.......
