Never in a million years would I have thought I'd like ( or could even stomach ) a cover of that song. It is sacred to me. Syd, I *LOVE* your rendition. This is the most soulful I have ever heard you sing. Every phrasing, harmony and breath was inspired and inspiring. Each phrase-end note was perfect. You made me FEEL it.

WOW ! only begins to cover it.

Amy, I don't usually tool around with songs that I feel are perfect just as they are, but as I listened to the original I kept hearing the harmonies.  I don't hear  my voice as being special.  I mean that and I'm not fishing for compliments or being humble.  If I heard someone with my voice on the radio, honestly- I would not hear it as being distinctive.  But finding and playing with interesting harmonies- that's where the joy is for me around singing.

 

Ideally, it'd be cool to create those sounds with others (hint, hint, when you've healed), because me doing all the parts leaves the bottom part lacking, but it's satisfying nonetheless.  And then putting it to a video that has personal meaning...that's just icing on the cake for me to be able to do, more like a purer message to myself.  I'm pretty sure you know what I mean by that (even more so, because you've created your own musical expressions).
