Congratulations on denying pain it's spoils. I admire you much for biting through. I especially liked the hopeful images at the end. I wish for you a breakthrough, a cure.
As to doing all while we can, I think any of us over 40s can agree with my husband's oft used phrase : Youth is wasted on the young.

Glad you didn't let it spoil your holiday - anything chronic like this, you can never let it win! If you choose to do instead of not do, you pay dear prices, but you don't really regret it.
