As I was typing my lengthy comment justifying the reasons why I kept my channel open on the now porn-infested LV, I realized that there is no justification. I'm not an artist or anything like that; however, my channel contains mostly family videos and prominently features my children.

All of the reasons people are giving for keeping their channels open are absolutely valid and I agree with many of them. But truth be told, I never really got over the group sex scene that greeted my parents and me on Christmas morning when I wanted to show them my latest videos.

So, from here on out, anyone visiting my LV channel will now see a message directing them to visit me here. As soon as I retrieve all of my videos from there, I will (without announcement or fanfare) remove the channel altogether.

I have no issues with porn generally; I simply don't want it associated in a public way with my family and, more importantly, my children.

I may in time follow your lead, Ruth. For the time being, I'm not posting any new content there. Just popping in now and then to answer emails and drop comments on the few who've stuck with it. I guess I still have a smigeon of hope for it, but nothing more than just a smigeon.

I was really worked up when I wrote that blog. Like finger over the button. Will take Suzecue up on her offer because I have some bug that won't allow me to use the download helper. Now I'm pretty much where NatureJunkie's comment describes.

I hovered over the button for two days and finally clicked it last night.

Oddly, it wasn't as traumatic as I thought it would be. I don't miss it. All my real LV pals are here anyway.

I'm grateful to you, though, for (inadvertently) making me finally do the right thing!
