If you catch it just at the right time you can hear the concert from 1974 with the original show video screen footage.
I might add Brilliant!
Check it out.
@Photo...oh hi kid, btw. I hope youre hanging in there..got to..dont give up the fight
OH dear, I WISH there had been a concert with all 3 of those bands. Nope, I had a WAY older cousin in college who took me to my first concerts from about age 12, REALLY young because I was so into music and performing,, he was the only one who really supported and pushed me into doing it all...exposing me to all the BAD stuff...Queen was my first concert, then Genesis, the Pink Floyd...then it never stopped...
..ps I consider Mike Myers to be a comical genius and a twisted writer. He's got so many characters...Wayne and Garth were SO cute, looking back... be well brutha.
Sorry the Floyd "Greatest Gig in the Sky" did not continue playing the next day. I actually hit the Best Buy (cheapest place selling) The immersion box set of which one disk is what was playing on Youtube as "Greatest Gig in the SKy". I had taped all those old Pink Floyd concert films off USA Night Flight in the '80s. They were awesome videos to go with the music. Now with the releases of the box sets, more people can experience them.
Somewhere I have a DVD set of Bizzarre. A very very young Mike Myers showed up on stage with John Byner. I
Pink Floyd = perfection!!! My musical development arrested somewhere around 1974.
Thanks!
@ThatGirl, sorry for the misunderstanding, and thank you for the kind words. Pain and fatigue are the current life-sapping foes, but we will persevere :)
You are so lucky to get an early start on your musical education. I did get to see most of my favorite performers, but started in my 20's. I saw Queen with Mott the Hoople, (Mott's name always made my Dad laugh lol). Mott was the headlining act, it was Queen's first U.S. tour, and they did a one hour blistering set! Their song 'Keep Yourself Alive" was their hit off of their first album. Mott was tremendous also, I love Ian Hunter's voice. I never did get to see Genesis unfortunately. Enjoying reminiscing with ya!
