Whatever floats your boat...

I voted first thing yesterday morning. I always vote. The first thing I did when I moved to California was register to vote. I love jury duty, too. I'm weird that way :-)

After I voted, as I was walking to my car, for the first time I felt that I had accomplished something in that booth. I felt like I was voting for something that really mattered.

And last night, as David and Zach and I were watching the news, it was just so very exciting! Watching my 13-year old son get so wrapped up in it--to the point that, in the heat of the moment, he started his own Politics4Kids ning site, I was just so proud! Of my fellow citizens, of my family, of Obama...

I woke up this morning with a lightness of being about the future that I don't ever remember feeling as regards politics.

Amazing!

Things were interesting here too. It's funny that we as Canadians followed the US poles much more closely than we did our own. I think there is something wrong with that picture, but it was pretty exciting none the less.

My stepson (who lives in England) thought he should be able to vote because his life is so hugely influenced by what happens in America. I thought that was an interesting perspective.

Congrats my friend. I have a video coming on the outcome of this election. I am happy for you and although I am conservative...I am happy for America...they have spoken and I respect that. glad to hear about your son...that is awesome....
