@ Pyper: The squirrel version of Wheaties---you nailed it!

@ Ruth: She just made me laugh out loud too. Poor Wheaties had no idea how much Pyper made me laugh at his expense.

P.S. Wheaties got adopted into a wonderful home last November where they worship and adore him, and seem not to care at all that he looks like a dog version of that squirrel.

The first time we looked into each others' eyes through my kitchen window, I just knew we trusted each other.

 

NJ, I DID see something at the start in this little one's eyes (at :14 especially)- like an awareness you don't usually see in those little guys (usually so hesitant and leery...) 

 

I played it back- it looks like HAPPINESS at seeing you!!  Very cool.

@ Syd: Yeah, this one's got something in those eyes, for sure. She was waiting for me again today and her fur really is beginning to recover now, I'm glad to see. She seems to have lost all fear of me, too. Stretches herself out on the fence to sun herself and watches me do yard work.
