City Hall just informed us that the value of our property was increasing. The letter suggested that we should be happy about this..but it's simply a way for them to increase the mill rate and charge us more taxes! Do they think they're fooling someone? Even our condo board has been charging 'supplementary' fees without consulting with the tenants as they used to. We are on a fixed income, where is all this extra cash supposed to come from? Banks aren't even giving loans unless maybe you have perfect credit. The soup kitchens can't handle all the people..this is headed past recession.
