The Superman Charm - Minimonk Story

MiniMonk was entrusted with a special superman charm I was gifted at sweet 16. It was the only gold jewelry left, after my home was robbed and ransacked as a teen-it took on a magical power to me because it SURVIVED. I saved it since I was a TEEN, hoping someday to pass it down. When HE turned 16, I put it around his neck after several tragic incidents nearly took him from us. Symbolically I hoped it would be a reminder as he wanders the world looking for what he needs to make him want to Live.

Then as soon as he entered College, It was stolen from HIM at school. Not the intended effect. It was supposed to represent HOPE.

He felt so badly, he made every excuse for where it might be until he broke the news to me at christmas. My christmas gift was this replacement silver Superman, and the smile on his face was priceless, being able to replace something precious. hIs hug is magical and maybe this new charm will last long enough to give BACK to him to pass down again.

I've been SAD AF for months, I had to stop crying and studying to get my act together for christmas and pretend for him. The truth is, I let go to give it away, and the sentimentality of it was only for HIM, yet he thought it hurt ME.

I'm pretty sure This is Love.
