Whatever floats your boat...
Every spring we have alot of babies. Last year they were in a HOLE on the front property where Matt ran right over their nest with the mower, but they were SAFE. I believe the mother moved them in a hurry when the neighbor was excavating. One sick baby from another nest hopped slowly to me over half hour period because it was seeking heat. It was so weak and barely breathing, leaning against anything with warmth. I held it with gloves in a towel just to give him comfort in his last hours.
Each year there are wandering babies who just sit in the driveway until they learn. I have to drive along the grass in spring. Each night i come home to about 8 bunnies on the gravel road and 12 deer lounging...I hate to disturb them driving in.
this was DEF his first Field Trip. Not very cautious.
Mama no doubt scolded him for getting close to humans-because most of them are assholes
