Hey Thanks, Steve. This shot is from the beginning- probably the first time I got this pose without slipping out.Coming from gymnastics thinking, it's added a tremendous amount of challenges. For one, A Slippery Metal unforgiving apparatus going completely against gravity and prohibiting protection for your bones! I have always seen Pole as an art of dance, starting with Chinese Pole Acts I have seen in Cirque. I'm glad to see it becoming competitive and so varied in style. I'm having a blast for the first time in YEARS with a total body workout like I've never seen before, as long as I can maintain my knee joints to sustain. As it becomes more competitive, you see a crossover of gymnasts acrobats and dancers with MANY YEARS of training coming into the sport and just KNOCKING your Socks off with their Skill. Matters NOT to me, whether people dance in a club, perform in Cirque Du Soleil, a dance troupe, their living rooms, or acrobat acts at concerts...it's an Art which taps into self expression and fitness in a wonderful way. HEY, I follow all the latest Men getting into the sport and they seem to bring a different kind of strength to their routines and are SO exciting to watch. They have DIFFERENT challenges than women and a different set of natural strengths in their body design...VERY exciting
