Comment by Jim on April 7, 2011 at 1:40am: Actually, it does sound like it's his turn, and you're probably also wanting to get a clear message that he's interested and not just going along with you, AND you want to give him breathing room, blah, blah... Given all that, you have no control over his actions, only your own, so if you're suffering too much, I'd send him an e-mail just to say hi, just to keep things warm, not to appear over-anxious. Could he be a little shy? Does he have a super-busy life? Does he have a sick mother somewhere who needs attending to? There could be a lot of reasons why he's not contacting you right away. Or maybe he's just taking his time, who knows? I don't know if I'm helping you at all, but I wish you the best of luck, Ruth. (And remember, there are plenty more fish out there if this falls through.) :)

It's only been 4 days (ha!) since I've seen him, we do have a date tonight and we do exchange brief texts. It's just all so disconcerting! What if he doesn't like me as much as I like him?! What if he decides the age difference bothers him?! What if, what if, what if!!?
