History is more of an art than a science. I LOVE that statement. I'm gonna write that down if you don't mind ;-)

History is an ever-changing story told by many storytellers, but that doesn't make it fiction. I think you can trust historians as much as you can trust the disciplinarians of any other methodology of fact finding, as long as you accept that truth is ephemeral and changes with new information, and as long as you use your critical thinking skills in evaluating it. That's true of science as well as the arts.
