Taxes are done!

Out of curiosity, has anyone ever wanted to put a made-up occupation on their Federal Tax Form? I was thinking of putting Commander of the Fifth Planet in Ark Galaxy but then I thought that might get me in trouble. I don't want Syd to get ticked at me. : ) Seriously, I wonder if they pay any attention to that line.

So the taxes are done. I'll be getting back $1130 from the two. Not bad for less than ten minutes of work. As soon as MrPoe gets his W-2, I'll be figuring his as well. One of these years, I will teach him how to do his own taxes. I've been doing my own taxes since I was 18. I think my Dad was impressed with that. He always asked me if I wanted him to look them over and I would always tell him not really. Then he would inisist my brother look them over to make sure I figured them correctly. That stopped the year my brother screwed up their taxes and they ended up owing and then were penalized and then had to go on quarterly payments for like five years. My brother was never allowed to do my parents taxes again after that. Don't blame them really. So I've always done my own.

Hopefully the state will have some money to pay early filers. Lucy licked the envelope so I figure she kissed it for me to bring me good luck. Here's hoping anyway.

Ha ! Licked the envelope! I started the long drawn out process of figuring all out receipts, mileage etc. Self employment is really for rebellious dumbasses - I've decided. Our house is dumbass X 2.

It's great to have it all done, isn't it? Like getting your homework done after school on Friday and having the weekend ahead free for nothing but play.
