Whatever floats your boat...

I realize "friends only" setting may not work here,  we may not even be "friends" on this site.  It's always just been "home", but If you're READING this, you must be a friend, because who else Visits?

I'm sitting here "being still" (which is rare), so I snipped together bits from trying out the spinny pole.

Finally the day came when there was no choice but to get the right pole to learn advanced/"spinny mode". Once you learn climb, spin, grips, lifts, and positions on static, you are ready to learn to SPIN, but all the rules change, adding new physics .

All in the last month, there was a series of crises, and in the middle; the pole came. Couldn't do more than look at it.  Joints got stiff, lost my splits on one side, and the 2 month heat was taking it's toll.

Then I tore some intercostal muscle fibers, sprained my right hand and ended a nice 2 year break from kidney complications all in 1 week...(when I do it, I "do it right").

My son's gonna be okay in time, and I'm just "being".

If you wish to spin away your worries with me for about 3 minutes, the password is "live".

It looks like you created a verbal mash-up from earlier blogs and I'm not sure what injuries and other problems are current and which are a memory. So I'm sending general support and positive vibes with the directions "Apply liberally when and where needed."

I don't have a spinny pole. But I do have a suspension trainer I fabricated out of rope and and pvc tubing. You can spin and I'll do something less graceful but still healthy.

@Geoff - The bits are from before last week when the 3 little "things" happened to me. There was this window of time while taking care of my son who just had a serious injury we are grateful didn't need a risky fix. He's home healing and I am grateful for the GOOD vibes you're sending! alot can happen in just one month, the rest is toughstuff I can't share on the webz, but for me "it's just a fleshwound", right? Thank you. I GUESS I'm sharing to try to say you have to Keep going, stay on course, no matter what else is going on in life, hoping there is something in the expression everyone can relate to. It's Dance afterall, a language all it's own.

Did you make this suspension trainer in a doorway? from the ceiling? I love to hear how other people are driven to their fitness goals.

I hung it from a chin up bar in a doorway. There are many do-it-yourself designs online for suspension trainers. The better ones are functionally comparable to something you might pay close to $200 for in a store and none of them are terribly hard to make.

I'm glad your son is recovering. I'm glad you're forging ahead.

@Steve and Geoff- hey, thanks. It seems to work this way, when one kidney has a crisis, the other joins in. It's happened everytime in the past. Feeling MUCH better today, just sore and weak. Two good years was so pleasant and I think battling to stay hydrated during this extended heatwave didn't help but I do believe my routine helped me get this last huge stone out of the core of my right kidney. I skated right past the ER and I am also hoping for another break.

Thank you so much for thinking of me, and checking on me. I guess deciding to get excited even a little about finally spinning, needed to wait. but that's life right? hasn't proved me wrong yet=you GOTTA go "get it" every chance you have, tomorrow is unpredictable.  keeps you from having regrets for not chasing your dreams..  luv you guys...

hey Steve. you deleted a comment? never worry. I didn't notice anything confusing or otherwise

its been a ride but i think i am getting better. left kidney was busy serving up trouble ever since the right one got thru with me. maybe that break is gonna come my way...again.

Yes, i do strongly believe you have to go "GET IT" , whatever it is, "just do it". I've had that NIKE phrase playing in my head since i was a teen and always had a poster on my wall growing up "no pain, no gain". It helped not only with sports but life skills.

never have they been proven wrong in my life or anyone else's I've observed. Not always easy to do, against the challenges we face but it builds character, that is also undisputed IMO....
