My oldest daughter is very supportive of our divorce. The other three are struggling, but I know they love us both and it is our (my husbands and mine) intention to remain friends. We have both come to realize that our marriage was not healthy for either of us and our relationship was very co-dependent. We are hoping that by divorcing, it will save the friendship that we still feel towards one another, but it is a hard road for all concerned. No one is really sure of what the future holds. I am sorry your children reacted the way they have and I truly hope that sometime down the road they will come to except that you did what you had to do for your own emotional and mental well being.
