Embedding Your Video Here for a TIERED Dicussion.

I embedded a video into the forum to see if the tiered discussion strand would work and there'd be email alerts (if you set it up in your settings to do so) and sure enough it worked fine.

It's an extra step, but if you like this form of feedback over the flat one Ning provides, do what I did here and let me know so I can feature the forum so that it stays on the front page for a while. :o)

Follow the example below so you know what I mean.

So...I'm wondering...how we can actually get email notifications for comments on videos AND have tiered comments as opposed to the flat ones Ning provides.

And so I set my email alerts to include discussions....

And then I embedded a video here...and decided to test it out as possibly an alternative to the usual non-intuitive set-up...

And now lookie here...we got us a multi-tiered commenting system going around videos

Now let me go see if it notified my email of all these layered comments....be right back...

Hmmm..I haven't gotten anything in my email yet, but it could be a 15 minute delay (that's how long Ning gives you to edit your comment). I'll wait.

Hmmm...email notification is NOT working on this...snag!!
I'll figure it out.

If I do, what do y'all think of using THIS as our method for video-sharing?

It defaults to receiving email notifications ONLY if you have your email settings so that you do.

Tell me if you get this. If you don't, you have to change your setttings so that you get comments in discussions. LOL
