I love Hardy.  I think it's a great idea to bring in another dog - Hardy needs another dog around.  I noticed that he looks to you when someone else is around.

He's a good dog.  I love his sweet sweet face.

 

@Blanch - I had a shawn Cassidy poster the lenght of my bedroom door as a pre-pre-teen.  No shame in my cassidy crush - he's darn pretty :0)

I watched this the other day-wasn't able to login to comment. What a difference it can make to change a name,  it's like "new life" ....bright and shiny-like, and only a truly commited and loving pet owner has what it takes to go through the whole process of conditioning required to achieve the required result.  good luck and I'll certainly watch. ..Hardy looks happy to me.

@ Pyper: Yeah, he does look to me when someone else is around. I should make a point of using that to help him bond with me more. I'll try to expose him to more human company this weekend. And I agree with you about his sweet face. It pretty much turns my innards into a puddle of goo.

 

@ ThatGirl: Actually I call Hardy many names at this point: Sweetheart, Honey Boy, My Love, Darling Dog, Gorgeous, Handsome, Beautiful... It's a wonder his little head isn't spinning with confusion. I'm glad Hardy looks happy to others. I've never seen a true dog "smile" from him, and I worry a lot that he might be depressed.

@NJ, I had a feeling treats would make a positive reinforcemet. I so hope Hardy lets his defenses down soon. Looks like a good start :)
