The Ark

Whatever floats your boat...

A Song which has Haunted me since the end of 2012.
Technical tools: Adobe After Effects, Vegas for linear edit and vocals by ThatGirl recorded in Audacity

A stylistic theme song which screamed Bond Film Soundtrack caught my attention and imagination and I knew i had to record it.
The Video concept morphed from an old saloon setting with a dark muted color palette to this guns and roses final concept.

This one took since January to finish and the ride was an emotional one, fighting life events, getting my voice back and learning enough so I could finally put it together.

I only make things I Really want to...so there it is

UPLOAD TEST - 29fps AAC audio .mov

Thank You LtAdams for the advice through this process with After Effects

Great job. Very impressive.

Now that you've learned so much about AfterEffects I hope we don't have to wait so long for your next video. It did feel like a title sequence from a James Bond movie.

@Geoff - Aw, thanks so much. It means alot to me to hear that people understand what goes into advancing technically enough to get the vision onto the screen in some satisfactory manner. Between this song and Muse' 'Supremacy', If I were producing the next Bond film, I'd have to choose one of them. They are a perfect fit.

I feel my schedule about to go full metal jacket anytime soon, so I hope I can do a few creative things before the axe comes DOWN!  Loved seeing you here and i do enjoy watching your treatments of classic film pieces, myself.. cheers!

@Geoff -It's weird, I just SAW the official video for Supremacy and the theme is NOTHING like what I'd imagine...just proves everyone's interpretation of a song is unique to that person's personal vision...but holycow, If you LISTEN without watching- you might get the BOND vibe I get...Here's the strange surfer/joker/anarchy video they made  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avM_UsVo0IA . Wish they'd called me!

@Steve - that means more than you could imagine to me.  Timing is everything sometimes and the fact you come back and even watch again no matter what's going on with you, says it all. Imagine IF I could work in a proper studio,. Yes, I dream those dreams...but I do what i can alone.  Even with these minor tools, the graphics I am able to create on the desktop are far superior to what I can render out to be hosted by vimeo for free, so I feel I've done pretty well for myself with spit and glue! ..thank you friend

@Glo - Thanks , I was trying for a "WOW" of sorts. Glad to bring you one, this one took me almost 6 months to extract out of my system and my little engine desktop computer....if only we had the goods, what magic we could make with these ideas. I think i'm gonna keep singing and not hold off for a music video each time. Time is crucial in art to get the TRUTH of the emotion into the music. good to see ya

I'm officially blown away!

I can well believe it took you from January to June to make this. Great things take slow time to make. Your voice is in wonderful form.

I don't know enough about programs and editing to truly appreciate what you've done here. But if we were comparing our math ability, I'd equate it to this: ME: fourth grade arithmetic. YOU: Honors Calculus. But you aren't doing math. You're doing art. So A+.
