I'm so happy you're starting a new one and the ideas you're kicking around are marvelous. 

I had an intermission with my quilt due to busy family stuff but I plan to get back to it in the next 2 weeks and I will post a video when I do.

I was thrilled once again to recognize some of your remnants as the source of some of my squares.

The panel of cloth close to the beginning that you described as "an old Japanese piece"---is that printed fabric, or painted fabric? If it's a painting, it made me wonder whether you've ever done your own paintings on fabric and then incorporated them into a quilt? Either way, I think a painting showcased in a quilt made with Japanese fabrics would be splendid. I love the indigo blues.
