Whatever floats your boat...

I help my best friend Kim, who did not want to appear on camera, pick the right shade of white from paint chip samples. My favorite shades of white: "Bare" and "Desolate."

Who knew there were so many shades of white? Actually, my son wanted his room painted green while he was gone. Same issue with green. And I want to see Kim in the next video!

blah, blah, blah, blah.....something about paint...blah, blah, blah.

@ Ruth: Yeah, for something that's often defined as the "absence of color," there sure are a lot of shades of absence. In the shades that bordered the mayonnaise sample, I would expect to see "ranch dressing," "sour cream," and "horseradish." But no. Only "minced onion."

@ Pyper: "Blah blah blah"? Okay, that's it. I will rescreen your windows for you, I will replace your broken doorknobs, but I will never---never, do you hear me?---help you choose paint. The aesthetics of naming are obviously wasted on you. I can't expect you to understand unless you have an art degree like moi.

Heh- my friends don't like the video cam, either.
NJ- that was a cool little window to look into. It's easy to imagine just chattin' with you over a cuppa. :o)

@ Jim: Myrna Loy, gotta love her. I think that white she was trying to describe that's "not a cold, antiseptic hospital white" was mayonnaise.

@ Syd: Any time you're in the Bay Area (as soon as you can pry yourself away from Tree's digs), you're welcome to join me and Kim for our Wednesday Glass Night and do some glass and tile mosaics with us.

@ Suzecue: You are rushing to judgment, my dear. You didn't even get a chance to hear about the bird shades, "dove," "gray owl," and "white heron." (I'm not sure that referred to the color of their plumage or their droppings.)

Kim sounds wonderful!

@ Peacenik: That's right, you've never talked to her. She's weird and wonderful and really keen.

@ Michael: Yeah, should have been a line in "Savoy Truffle," no?

@ Tahllulah: I'm pretty sure she decided to go with... white.
