I thought the blog seemed pretty thoughtful, but really had no basis to form an opinion since I had never heard of him before. I have to say I think that the comments showed common web failings: overstatement and personal abuse.

I just read about him for the first time last week in a blog (http://open.salon.com/blog/lost_in_berlin/2010/08/30/are_muslim_immigrants_making_europe_poorer_and_stupider.)

So what's the deal do you think? Is he putting a sophisticated face on racism or asking the difficult questions others would rather avoid (or both)?

I've got all the bits and pieces of Dandy in the Underworld on my hard drive. I won't assemble and post it before I return to VloggerHeads. It will be very tough deciding what and what not to include.
