The Ark

Whatever floats your boat...

My Mom passed during the night Friday night.

I got to tell her I loved her because she was
brought home with hospice earlier Friday.

I thought she might rally at home..it wasn't
to be, but I know she wanted to be home
and she had suffered enough.

I can't adequately express my grief. This
can NOT have really happened..but it
has.

Sad.

Kevin, there are not words at the moment... I know. The hard stuff is over for her now. I have a feeling that she will always be with you. After 24 years since my dad's passing, he still is a presence I can sense. I hope you find some peace and happiness in your life.

So sorry to hear about your Mom, Kevin. I am glad she was able to spend the end with you at home. You are both in my prayers. ~ Jim

Dear, dear Kevin,

I am so sorry for the grief you are feeling. I have lost my mother too, and even though it was a long time ago, there is just no other pain in the universe like it.

I find it comforting that you got to see her again and tell her that you loved her before she died. I was worried that given the circumstances, you might never see her again. At least this enormity contains that one small solace, but what a blessing it is.

My thoughts and my heart are with you.
