I have been inspired to write a blog after reading NJ's as she talks about creativity. I think creativity is everything really. It's what happens when we have a child for a start and that child starts growing up. Being a mum was a lot of fun in that way for me. I remember my daughter sitting at the piano trying to play some easy thing from a beginners book and I said oh lets just play what we feel like so we did and made stuff up. Who's to say it wasn't good huh, they were our songs.

I love to dance. By dance I mean disco, pop, flashing lights leaping around the floor dancing lol This is to be found by going clubbing in the UK, I don't know where you find that sort of stuff in the US.
I'm probably past the age for this but I don't give a toss. The problem is finding someone to go with. People are so inhibited (unless they are drunk). Just being totally melancholy and serious and matter of life and death now.
I've been spending days and days at work file thinning. This is because 40 years worth of student files can't be taken with us to the new premises we're going to, so all files have to be thinned out, keeping just the application form and marks, and maybe a reference if there is one in there. It takes two seconds to thin a file, all the rest of the papers in the file are thrown in the shredding bag, lost forever.

So what was your first love? Mine was a piano.
We hadn’t got one at our house, but grandma had. It was in her bedroom and we used to go and stay with her by the sea once a year. She was ill probably. She used to lie in bed coughing and coughing and I would creep into her bedroom early in the morning and scramble up on the piano chair and try and play the glorious big black piano.
She let me do that, she was nice and never said “shut up Christine” she just coughed in the background.

I'm inspired to think about this because of motc saying 'Forgive me for being frank, but I don't know another way to be' on one of Dee's blogs.
Now I know we shouldn't generalise but generally speaking a lot of men just speak their mind. it may even seem blunt at times. I think this is a valuable thing actually. I didn't used to.
